PRODUCTION MANAGER

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Production Manager oversees all aspects of plant operations, including production, receiving, and shipping, ensuring high quality and consistency. This role is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations, optimizing productivity, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safety and efficiency standards. The position requires coordination with department heads and a focus on continuous improvement initiatives.

CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day manufacturing operations

  • Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies, procedures, and applicable laws

  • Collaborate with Department Managers to ensure seamless coordination of raw material procurement, maintenance, and product quality

  • Work closely with quality personnel to maintain product consistency while analyzing scrap rates to identify trends and areas for improvement

  • Research and implement cost-reduction strategies while maintaining product quality, including scheduled and non-scheduled downtime analysis

  • Maintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping program, ensuring effective and timely communication initiatives

  • Partner with the Human Resource Manager to assess workforce requirements, including both full-time and temporary personnel

  • Oversee the manufacturing incentive bonus program by conducting performance appraisals and providing coaching and guidance to all manufacturing employees

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing operational enhancements

  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks by strategically allocating personnel and equipment

  • Lead cross-training initiatives to ensure workforce flexibility and process efficiency

  • Collaborate with research and development and product management teams to develop and implement new product strategies

  • Coordinate training programs for all manufacturing personnel

  • Work closely with Human Resources and the Safety Manager to ensure proper handling, identification, labeling, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with regulations

  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Extensive experience in plant management is required

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a post-secondary degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts and procedures

  • Results-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Strong proficiency in FileMaker and Microsoft Office Suite applications

  • Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations, including the use of protective gear

  • Ability to travel domestically as required, including overnight travel; must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle

MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Maintenance Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of equipment, machinery, and facilities within the organization. Your role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency of operations, minimizing downtime, and promoting a safe working environment.

Have an excellent working knowledge in all industrial maintenance fields including Mechanical, Welding, hydraulics, Pneumatics, Pipe Fitting and Electrical as well as Process and Flow Control Systems.

CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure the safe and effective operation of all equipment. Confirm the effective and efficient resolution of problems regarding the machinery/equipment. Plan for and take immediate corrective actions to make certain corrections and adjustments are completed to maintain maximum production and quality.

  • Develop, design, and implement machine updates to solve issues and enhance production.

  • Schedule and ensure preventive maintenance checks are completed on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. Schedule upgrades or repairs. Inspect all equipment after repairs or adjustments.

  • Ensure all start-up and shut down of equipment shall be in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and with OSHA requirements.

  • Motivate maintenance staff by communicating job expectations. Plan, monitor, and appraise job results. Coach, counsel, and discipline employees. Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Complete maintenance plan by effectively scheduling and assigning personnel

  • Establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules. resolve problems.

  • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures. Maintain LOTO and Building keys and key boxes control.

  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources. Maintain compliance with established policies, procedures, Federal and National Codes

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks. Benchmark state-of-the-art practices. Participate in professional societies.

  • Ensure the proper inventory of parts and “critical spare parts” are available for the building and machinery.

  • Help initiate contact, and work with contracted service providers as necessary.

  • Take the lead in purchasing new capital investments, improvements to machinery, and any necessary expansion of building. Maintain and purchase all inventory needed to maintain all machines, buildings, and grounds.

  • Provide or create blueprints, drawings, and schematics for maintenance crew and machinists to follow to assist in completing their tasks.

  • Oversee Maintenance payroll and attendance.  Keep track of sick and vacation days used.

  • Develop and execute both repair and supply budgets.

  • Provide a Monthly Maintenance Report to the Operations Manager.

  • Any and All duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possession of at least a high school diploma or GED is required. 2-4-year technical degree or equivalent work experience in electrical, industrial electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, welding is preferred. Previous Maintenance Supervisory Experience. Valid state motor vehicle license.

Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions. Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must work effectively with divergent types of people. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent Computer skills, PLC use and knowledge of programming.
