Process Engineer
MFM Building Products Corporation, a leading manufacturer of waterproofing membranes and related building products located in Coshocton, Ohio, is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, day shift position in our Coshocton manufacturing facility - no travel is required.
The Process Engineer will support plant operations by analyzing, developing, and improving manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency, quality, and safety. This role will focus on continuous improvement, reducing scrap, and ensuring reliable production operations while supporting company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, design, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, throughput, and quality
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce scrap, minimize downtime, and improve reliability
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards, including MFM’s Safety Absolutes
Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects across production lines
Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions
Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with production managers, engineers, and maintenance teams to support new equipment installations and process changes
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities for process-related issues
Provide training and guidance to operators and production staff on process changes and best practices
Participate in cross-functional projects to support company growth and operational excellence
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies
Experience with statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and continuous improvement tools
Ability to analyze complex production data and provide actionable recommendations
Proficiency in CAD, process simulation, or other engineering software preferred
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities with cross-functional teams
